Career summary
Cortney is a Senior Managing Director in the Houston office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. She joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance. Cortney is primarily responsible for originating debt (fixed, floating, bridge, construction) and equity placement transactions across all property types throughout the United States. She leads a team for the Midwest and Texas divisions of JLL’s Equity Advisory group. During the course of her career, Cortney has completed in excess of $9 billion in commercial real estate transactions.

Courtney has won several awards, including Woman of Influence 2022 by GlobeStreet and the Connect CRE Women in Real Estate Award in 2021. She is also the recipient of Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business recognition and The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston’s award for Outstanding Women in Banking and Finance. She previously served on the Board of Trustees of a Houston-based non-profit charity, The Women’s Resource, and was President of its Board.

Cortney received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute and Chair of the Houston District Council, as well as a member of the Steering Committee for the Women’s Leadership Initiative. Cortney is also a member of CREW and a past President of the Houston chapter. She previously served on the Board of Trustees of a Houston-based non-profit charity, The Women’s Resource, and was President of its Board.

Cortney has earned industry recognition as a leading woman professional in the commercial real estate industry.
