Career summary
Cortney is a Senior Managing Director in the Houston office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. She joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance. Cortney is primarily responsible for originating debt (fixed, floating, bridge, construction) and equity placement transactions throughout the United States across all property types, and she is a team leader for the Midwest and Texas division of JLL’s Equity Placement Group. During the course of her career, Cortney has completed in excess of $9 billion in commercial real estate transactions.
Cortney received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is a past Chair of its Houston District Council, as well as a founding member of the Steering Committee for ULI Houston’s Women’s Leadership Initiative. Cortney is also a member of CREW and a past President of the Houston chapter. She previously served on the Board of Trustees of a Houston-based non-profit charity, The Women’s Resource, and was President of its Board.
