Senior Vice President, Global Business Development
Charlotte Elstob is based out of New York and leads Global Business Development for the Americas for Retail, Industrial & Logistics. As part of her role, she sits on both the Global Retail Board and Global Industrial Board. Relocating from London in January 2019, Charlotte works closely with JLL colleagues in the UK and across EMEA and Asia Pacific.
Her primary role for retail is to support retailers and brands with their transition to the U.S. market and gives international retailers a “central point of contact” when they want to make their foray into the United States; a unique service to JLL. Charlotte identifies key challenges and works with retailers to develop an acquisition strategy supported with both local broker knowledge and in-depth research.
In addition, Charlotte supports JLL’s clients from North America with their international expansion, outside of the US and Canada, when entering new markets and connecting them with our local teams in the regions and driving their initiatives.
Charlotte also works closely with the Lease Restructuring team to support international retailers with strategic portfolio reviews, in North America and globally, and undertaking cost-saving exercises.
On behalf of the Industrial team, Charlotte is responsible for the group’s Global business development strategy; works closely with colleagues in the Americas, EMEA and APAC as well as the Retail Industrial Taskfroce to support our clients and drive new business for JLL.
In 2020 she was awarded the JLL Retail ‘Immediate Impact / Achieve Ambitions’ award. In 2019, she was voted one of Crains New York Business – Rising Stars in Real Estate and voted Chain Store Age: 10 under 40 Retail Real Estate Rising Stars.
Charlotte was previously a Director in the JLL UK Retail and Leisure team, advising large institutional and international landlords in Central London and nationally including Unbail-Rodamco-Westfield, The Mercers’ Company, Network Rail, Land Securities and Intu Group.

Qualified Chartered Surveyor: Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. (MRICS accreditation).
2008-2011 Oxford Brookes University: BSc (Hons) Real Estate Management.
