Current Responsibilities
Calvin is dedicated to representing corporate occupiers of office space with their evaluation and negotiation of leased and owned real estate facilities to reduce occupancy costs.
Experience
Calvin has represented tenants, users of office space, for 37 years while involved in the real estate brokerage/consultant, development, and investment business. He has professionally brokered office, industrial, and retail lease space, land, officebuildings, and investment securities.
His early analytical experience gained while evaluating investment opportunities in theequities and debt markets has proved to be a tremendous advantage in reviewing various office lease economic proposals on behalf of tenants’ interests.
Calvin further enhanced his tenant representation negotiation skills while serving as Partner for a Dallas-based developer for two years. He closed over 2.5 million square feet of office, industrial, retail, and tenant representation leases, including the development of two industrial build-to-suits and a retail shopping center, during a 24 month time frame. Calvin has negotiated over 10 million square feet of leases to date.
Education and Affiliations
Calvin received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Mississippi State University.
He has received the several awards during his real estate career. DBJ’s “Best New Office Development” Nokia -1998 and T-Mobile –2008, DBJ’s “Best Overall Real Estate Deal”-Nokia –1998. Staubach “Top Achiever”, JLL “Top Gun”, “Top Achiever” & “Gold Achiever” and DCEO -Dallas Power Broker. Calvin serves as a board member on the SMU Athletic Forum Board of Directors. Calvin is a CCIM and SIOR and a member of Greater Dallas Board of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors.
