Current Responsibilities:
Brian Kates is an Executive Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle’s Occupier Services group, specializing in tenant representation and transaction services for global, national, and local organizations. Brian joined JLL over 6 years ago after working with Travis Commercial Real Estate Services for approximately 4 years.

Brian prides himself in making it a priority to fully understand the business needs of his clients. He understands that a successful transaction goes beyond the basics of securing market concessions, but rather focuses on strategic planning and ensuring that real estate matters align with the goals and objectives of his respective client’s organizations.

Brian would tell you some of the best transactions are the ones that require creative anticipation of potential future challenges or those transactions involving multifaceted solutions.

Representative clients past and present include BioBridge Global, Bridgehead IT, Cantex Continuing Care Network, Disability Services of the Southwest, EPIC Midstream, Jefferson Bank, Mazurek Belden & Burke P.C.,  Nadine West, OnPoint Group, San Antonio Area Foundation, Texas Dermatology, and Wounded Warriors.

Experience:
Brian has been involved in over 300 completed transactions, including build-tosuits, investment sales, property acquisitions and dispositions, lease negotiations, and consulting services. Brian has been recognized numerous times by JLL as one of the company’s Top Achievers and Gold Achievers during his career.

Education and Affiliations:
Brian received a Bachelors Degree from The University of Texas at Austin and is a proud Life Member of the Texas Exes. He is also a licensed Texas Real Estate Salesman. He has a passion for leadership development and supports serviceminded organizations. Brian commits his time and talent to the following organizations:
