Brian Halpern is a Managing Director with Jones Lang LaSalle’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group located in Los Angeles. A native of Southern California, Mr. Halpern is a 25 year veteran of commercial real estate finance having arranged billions in traditional fixed and floating rate loans.
Mr. Halpern has extensive national relationships with the industries diverse capital sources including commercial and investment banks, insurance companies along with pension advisors and debt fund lenders. Mr. Halpern’s emphasis is on commercial product while also specializing in facilitating equity joint ventures, participating debt and other structured finance transactions. Historically completed transactions are in excess of $10 billion.
Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Halpern spent over 20 years at CBRE where he was and Executive Vice President with their Debt and Structured Finance group. Mr. Halpern was formally a loan officer for Charterhouse Investment Company and also worked at Champion Development Company.

Mr. Halpern received his B.A. from The University of Southern California in Real Property Development and Management. Mr. Halpern is a member of the National and California Mortgage Bankers Association, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, the Urban Land Institute and holds his California Real Estate Broker’s License
