Career summary:
Brett is a Senior Managing Director in the New York office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas, with more than 17 years of experience in commercial real estate and finance. She sources debt and equity capital for property owners and sells loans on behalf of financial institutions and special service providers. She also provides special asset services for lending institutions for both domestic and international clients across all property types, including office, multifamily, retail, industrial, hotels, mixed-use assets and condominium developments.
Brett started her career with JLL as an intern and has closed over $10 billion of note sales transactions. She has advised on over 40 uniform commercial code transactions involving over $3 billion of capital structure, establishing her as one of the most active advisors in the loan sale business. She advises REITs, private equity groups, insurance companies, global banks, pension funds, HNW and debt funds on their debt and equity and investment strategies.,
Brett’s commitment to excellence in the financing sector earned her recognition as one of Connect Media’s 2021 Women in Real Estate for her key mentorship role within the CRE industry. She was also an honoree for GlobeSt.’s 2022 Women of Influence award for significantly driving the industry to new heights through her outstanding success. Brett is dedicated to mentoring young real estate professionals by participating in the Urban Land Institute’s Mentor Program.
