Current responsibilities
Bella Schiro currently serves as a Senior Vice President, Occupancy Analysis and Planning in JLL's Washington, DC office. Bella plays an integral role in assisting clients with improving space efficiency and providing relevant benchmarking data to assist firms with their real estate decisions.
With a strong background in architectural interiors with particular emphasis in strategic analysis and planning, Bella is experienced in all aspects of project development including test fits, programming, space planning, design concept, sustainable design, cost estimating, construction documentation, furniture selection and specification, and construction administration.
Her project experience includes build to suit commissions with architectural staff, as well as independent interiors projects. She is an integral part of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Law Firm Group.
Experience
Jones Day: Currently working with Jones Day’s Dallas office to develop an in depth strategic plan including focus group interviews and future space requirements programming.
White & Case: Currently working with White & Case’s 500,000 rsf New York office to develop a long term strategic real estate plan including a comprehensive analysis of their space requirements, existing building due diligence survey and development of ideal space requirements for the future
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP: Provided in depth space programming analysis of Skadden’s 400,000 sf Washington, DC office which included focus group interviews, existing building due diligence survey and development of ideal space requirements for the future. Assisted in the RFP development bidding, interviews and selection of the Architectural , MEP, and Project Management consultants.
SNR Denton US LLP: Provide consulting services in connection with an overall review of space utilization and efficiency for SNR Denton’s real estate portfolio nationwide. Also provided programming, building evaluations and test-fit space planning for their offices in Dallas, Charlotte, Phoenix, Chicago, New York City and Washington, DC.
Miles & Stockbridge: Worked with this 110,000 rsf Baltimore, MD law firm in the development of space requirements and test-fit space planning for renovation and relocation real estate scenarios.
Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP: Worked with MNAT in the evaluation of their strategic space needs including programming, building evaluations, and test-fit space planning for their 85,000 sf Wilmington, DE headquarters. Assisted in the RFP development bidding, interviews and selection of the architectural consultant.
Polsinelli Shalton Flanigan Suelthaus PC: Provided strategic planning including programming, visioning, building evaluations, test-fit space planning, and architect selection/coordination for the consolidation of two St. Louis, MO offices into 85,000 sf of new office space. In addition, have also provided programming, test-fitting, building evaluation and construction document review and administration for the 17,000 sf Washington, DC office relocation.
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP: Provided programming, building evaluations, and testfitting services for their 60,000 sf San Francisco and London offices.
Prior to joining JLL, Bella was an Associate Principal / Vice President with Davis, Carter, Scott Architects. During her tenure she doubled the size of the interiors department while establishing a solid reputation with her clients, and with the Metropolitan Washington, DC brokerage community, developers, and contractors.
She achieved this success by delivering customized design solutions to law firms, corporations, associations, government agencies, medical office suites, and nonprofit organizations.
