Current Responsibilities:
Barry directs the operations department for properties in the United States and Canada for JLL Retail with a portfolio of over 449 properties including 74 regional malls encompassing over 87.2 mil square feet. His responsibilities include support and management of the Regional Operations Team, evaluates and negotiates national vendor relations and contracts, supporting the on-site tenant coordination, providing capital project management, review and input on CAM and capital budgeting, conceptual planning and implementation of ESG and sustainable practices and programs, development and implementation of all security policies and programs along with emergency procedures and training, development of core practices for operations, code and standards compliance audits and the ongoing development, training and support of on-site Operations Managers.
Additionally, Barry focuses the Operations Department in controlling risk for our clients, while developing high quality, innovative products that support property teams in the delivery of safe, comfortable and productive work environments. Across the retail portfolio, the operations team has implemented expense reductions as needed by our clients, reduced energy consumption by implementing new technologies and has increased recycling efforts while generating income for our clients.
