Current Responsibilities:
As a Regional Specialty Leasing Manager, Azalee oversees the specialty leasing programs in her portfolio of centers. Her primary responsibilities include working with the property teams on implementing specialty leasing strategies to ensure the attainment of company sales goals and profitability while driving occupancy. She develops best practices for the properties to successfully manage their specialty leasing initiatives through coaching, counseling and motivation to obtain sales performance maximization. Additionally, Azalee provides strategic portfolio planning and reviews property budgets and forecasting to ensure that income goals are on target. Azalee also partners closely with the National Account Manager to identify and maximize national temporary tenant account opportunities while providing support in data collection, dealmaking and execution. She continues to build relationships with regional and national tenants through active participation in industry conferences to promote the properties.
Experience:
Azalee has 25 years of retail experience with a consistent management growth record specializing in shopping center leasing for the past thirteen years. Prior to joining JLL, Azalee worked with Starwood Retail Partners as Regional Director of Specialty Leasing for six years overseeing shopping and lifestyle centers. At General Growth Properties, she performed various roles for 19 years within specialty leasing while crossbreeding in several business disciplines including merchandising, marketing, accounting, and management. She has managed up to fifteen shopping centers driving her team’s performance of $21M in revenue. Additionally, Azalee assisted in special projects throughout her career such as creating policies and procedures, enhancing system performances, assisting in grand openings, developing new RMU program, common area remerchandising efforts, training specialty leasing managers and coordinators and serving as a traveling specialty leasing manager. Azalee is also the recipient of several accolades and awards, including Best Non-Retail Use (GGP), GGP Pro Team Award, Top 3rd Performer in Highest Performance (GGP), The Best of the Best GGPeers Award and Visual Victories (Specialty Retail Report/ICSC).
Education:
Azalee holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Southeast.
