Current responsibilities:
Austin Barrett is an Executive Vice President within JLL’s Healthcare and Life Sciences group. Based in JLL’s Dallas office, Austin provides comprehensive real estate services to physicians, healthcare systems, and healthcare investors throughout DFW. With a focus on marketing and leasing medical office properties, Austin delivers unique and proven strategies that are tailored to meet the specific needs of each property and investor. Additionally, Mr. Barrett is part of a team working to grow North Texas as an emerging life sciences cluster.
Experience:
During his 12 years in commercial real estate, Austin has completed more than 400 healthcare transactions valued in excess of $300 million. Prior to joining JLL in late 2020, Austin was a member of CBRE’s Healthcare Services Group, where he leased and marketed medical office properties. Before his tenure at CBRE, he spent five years as a medical tenant representative, assisting physician groups in locating office spaces throughout Dallas-Fort Worth. Before entering the real estate industry, Austin spent two years with KPMG’s Audit practice in Dallas.
Education and affiliations:
Austin attended Southern Methodist University, where he earned his Master of Science of Accountancy as well as his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Austin is currently a CCIM candidate. He lives in Dallas with his wife and their 2 kids, ages 5 and 9.
