Current responsibilities
Currently located in Chicago, Andrea Sylvester is the North America Transaction Advisory Services lead for Xerox Corporation.
She manages a team of nine Transaction Managers and is responsible for delivery of both the XBS and Xerox Technology portfolios.
In addition, she is responsible for proactively setting up innovative solutions to the current process and better utilizing technology to measure results. She participates in Six Sigma task forces to ensure seamless delivery of the diverse range of projects that are underway.
Experience
Andrea has over 13 years of real estate experience with JLL. She began her career in Chicago negotiating and managing transactions nationwide for Aon Corporation focusing on acquisitions, dispositions, and scenario analyses. She has undertaken numerous portfolio and occupancy analyses, strategy work, and master planning activities for large multinational corporations.
In 2004, she worked in Hong Kong and Shanghai providing transaction management and occupational strategies to corporate occupiers in the Asia Pacific region.
Andrea led transactions in Hong Kong and coordinated activity across Asia Pacific for Deutsche Bank. She spent three months in Shanghai assisting Disney, General Motors, and MeadWestvaco with their lease requirements. Following her time in Hong Kong, she relocated to New York City for two years to manage global transactions for Computer Associates and MasterCard.
In 2011, she was the Global Transactions Transition lead for Philips responsible for transitioning the Philips account globally for transactions and running the North American Transaction and Lease Administration account. Prior to that she transitioned from the role of Client Relationship Manager (CRM) for Schering-Plough and managing the international portfolio of the Spencer Stuart account.
Her responsibilities included managing transaction management, project management, and lease administration for these accounts while driving consistency and strategy into the portfolio. Her understanding of the global markets and her strong relationship with colleagues enables her to effectively coordinate and manage the accounts.
In addition, Andrea focused on new business development overseeing a handful of assignments in Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific for US companies. She used innovation and best practices throughout the process to achieve favorable results.
Education and affiliations
Andrea earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. She graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. She also attended the University of Sheffield, England during her undergraduate studies focusing on International Business.
