Career Summary
Alex is a Director in the Century City, Los Angeles office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. With more than 13 years of experience in CRE debt capital markets, he works primarily on debt advisory. A decade of working directly on the lending side, including seven years in origination roles at a life insurance company, bank, and debt fund, where he worked on over $3 billion in closed transactions, uniquely positions him to help clients make informed financing decisions. He specializes in advising clients across the capital stack for originating senior and junior positions in construction, bridge and term loans with borrowers across the country.
Prior to joining JLL, Alex was with Heitman as a VP Originator, covering the Southwestern US for the firm’s private debt capital program. Before that, he worked as a VP Originator with CIT Bank and as an Associate at Metlife Real Estate Investors in multiple roles, including originations, research and reporting. After completing his Master’s in Finance at Tulane University in 2009, Alex started his career as a Research Analyst at the ACLI, the lobbying/trade group for the life insurance industry. He covered commercial mortgage investment activity within the industry, providing a diverse group of contacts and laying the foundation for the path ahead.
