Current Responsibilities
Adam Cody currently serves as Executive Vice President in the Chicago office and operates as a real estate solutions partner to existing and emerging consumer focused concepts. Adam collaborates with his clients to proactively meet their real estate objectives ranging from negotiating new locations, portfolio optimization, market research and strategic planning, disposition assignments and capital markets initiatives.
Experience
Adam Cody has been active in real estate brokerage since 2002. Adam has facilitated successful negotiations in over 162 sale and lease transactions in the Chicago metro market on behalf of many high profile clients such as Walgreens, AMC Theatres, At Home, Verizon Wireless, 7-Eleven, Corner Bakery, AutoNation, Famous Dave's, Discount Tire, Bank of America, Miller's Ale House, TCF Bank, Blu Dot Furniture, First Midwest Bank, Tortazo and MedExpress resulting in transaction values exceeding $368M.
Adam also works closely with national and regional retailers in the disposition of surplus properties. Adam has successfully disposed of over 25 assets with transaction values exceeding $46M for clients including Target, JCPenney, Cabela's, Bowlero, Bank of America, Bridgestone, Applebee's, Fry’s Electronics, First Midwest Bank, TCF Bank and Krispy Kreme.
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Cody earned a Bachelor’s Degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and serves on the ICSC Illinois State Committee. Adam is also a member of Chicago Chapter of Lambda Alpha International (LAI) – Land Economics Society.
Adam is a volunteer at St. Francis Xavier Parish in LaGrange, IL.
