JLL Secures New Paramus HQ for DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ, April 10, 2019 —JLL has completed a new transaction for DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin LLP at 61 South Paramus Road in Paramus, N.J., with building owner and venture partners Onyx Equities LLC and Garrison Investment Group. The law firm leased approximately 42,000 square feet of office space at the Class A, 286,126-square-foot office building.

The tenant was represented by Frank D. Recine, executive managing director, and Nicolas DeCotiis, associate, both with JLL. Ownership was represented by Adam Karafiol, Onyx’s senior vice president of leasing.

DeCotiis signed an 11-year lease for approximately 42,000 square feet and will occupy the majority of the second floor at 61 South Paramus Road. The law firm is relocating its headquarters to the building from Glenpointe Centre West in Teaneck.

The five-story office building was acquired by the Onyx/Garrison venture in 2017. Their signature, multimillion dollar capital improvement program is underway. 61 South Paramus Road is located at the confluence of Route 4, Route 17 and the Garden State Parkway, 20 miles from Midtown Manhattan, and is surrounded by a wide variety of upscale shopping and dining options, with four nearby regional malls and 10 hotels.
