JLL Project and Development Services appoints James A. Renne, AIA National Director of Sports and Entertainment

CHICAGO, March 25, 2019 – JLL announced today James A. Renne, AIA has joined the firm’s Project and Development Services platform as National Director of Sports and Entertainment. Renne will assume leadership of the practice from Don Loudermilk, who is retiring after six years at the helm of JLL’s Sports and Entertainment division.

“An architect in sports and entertainment for more than 25 years, Jim understands the multi-faceted objectives of stakeholders in the industry and works closely with clients to help realize their vision while drawing out each project’s unique characteristics and metrics for success,” said Todd Burns, President, Project and Development Services. “His background in retail, master planning and urban design converges with sports giving him unique expertise in mixed-use and sports-anchored development projects. I look forward to watching our Sports and Entertainment practice continue to grow under Jim’s leadership.”

Renne joins the firm from ROSSETTI, where he oversaw project vision, execution, new business development, and sports and entertainment initiatives as the firm’s Sports Principal. Renne’s broad range of work encompasses design solutions for professional and collegiate sports, including basketball, soccer, tennis, motorsports, hockey and football. Some of his most notable projects include the reimagination of the Daytona International Speedway, winner Sports Business Journal’s Venue of the Year 2016, and the UCLA Health Training Center, home of the Los Angeles Lakers.

A licensed Architect, Renne holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan.
