JLL lease relocates veterans charity to downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX, February 13, 2019 – The Phoenix office of JLL has completed a lease and tenant improvement that relocates the Phoenix offices of veteran support organization Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) to 777 E. Missouri Ave., at the southeast corner of 7^th Street and Missouri Avenue in the heart of downtown Phoenix.

The relocation gives WWP a more centralized address from which to serve warriors, families and caregivers.

JLL Associate Brokers Kyle Seeger and John Lydon, with JLL Executive Vice President Ryan Bartos, represented WWP in the lease transaction. JLL Project Manager Carmen Armstrong directed the tenant improvement project on behalf of the JLL Project Development Services team. The owner of the building, Missouri 7, is Douglas Allred Company.

“It’s not every day that we get the opportunity to help those who have so bravely served our country,” said Lydon. “Our goal was to find Wounded Warrior Project a location offering high visibility as well as ground-level access, and then build out that location in a way that honors the exceptional men and women that this organization serves. That wasn’t easy to find, so our ability to do this at Missouri 7 is what set the building apart from its competitors.”

“The core mission of Wounded Warrior Project was always top of mind as we designed and completed our build out,” added Armstrong. “We wanted to create a perfect mixture of visibility, accessibility and tranquility and we believe we’ve done that at this very special property.”

In addition to providing free mental and physical wellness support, career and VA benefits counseling, and personal independence skills training, the new WWP location offers a welcoming place for veterans to gather, complete with an outdoor courtyard and a training room that can be used for hosting events and classes.
