JLL hires top
software engineer
from Silicon Valley

Chicago/Menlo Park, Calif., Nov. 14, 2018 – Top Silicon Valley tech talent is finding the commercial real estate (CRE) industry ripe for innovation, offering big opportunities to impact how and where we live, work and play. Today, JLL announced Silicon Valley veteran Ravi Mirchandaney has been hired as the Head of Software Engineering for the firm’s Digital Products team, which delivers innovative new workplace and real estate technologies for JLL’s corporate clients.

Based in Menlo Park, California, Mirchandaney is the latest Silicon Valley star to join JLL. Earlier this year JLL hired former Google executive Vinay Goel as Chief Digital Product Officer and previously hired Silicon Valley veterans Mihir Shah and Yishai Lerner to co-lead JLL Spark, a global division dedicated to identifying and delivering new technology-driven real estate service offerings. 

In his new role, Mirchandaney will be responsible for hiring and leading engineering teams across JLL’s data and application platforms.

Mirchandaney brings more than 30 years of experience in leading-edge technology organizations, building teams and launching new products that have helped organizations drive new value and optimize business operations. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Engineering at Wiser Solutions, where his team helped major retailers engage with customers through data-driven insights. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Engineering at Vendavo, where he helped Fortune 500 companies drive corporate performance through big data sales and pricing analytics.

Earlier in his career, Mirchandaney was Senior Vice President of Engineering at C3, where he delivered the first Server Message Block demand-side energy optimization product, as well as a multitude of other products, to some of the largest utilities in the U.S. and many Fortune 500 companies. Prior to this, he led a multinational team of more than 300 people at Oracle to deliver customer relationship management (CRM) products, such as the industry-leading Siebel CRM. In addition, he has held a variety of engineering leadership roles at companies in Silicon Valley, Houston and India.

Mirchandaney holds a doctorate in computer engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Mumbai (formerly the University of Bombay).
