Raleigh, N.C., December 18, 2019 – JLL has been selected to manage five office buildings totaling approximately 678,000 square feet in the Raleigh-Durham market and has hired Melanie Rivera to lead the management of the portfolio.
Rivera joins JLL from a global commercial real estate services firm where she managed a portfolio of mixed-use assets including Carolina Square, a signature project in Chapel Hill with approximately 158,000 square feet of Class A office space, 246 luxury apartment units, 42,000 square feet of retail space and over 800 structured parking spaces. At JLL, Rivera will oversee the following new property management assignments:
- Crabtree Terrace, the new mixed-use development where JLL will open its new office next month.
Crabtree Terrace consists of 145,000 square feet of Class A office space and 28,000 square feet of
ground-floor retail space.
- Parkline, a four-story, 210,000-square-foot building at 5901 Durham-Chapel Hill Boulevard that is being
renovated to create new, modern office space in Chapel Hill.
- Crossroads Corporate Park: JLL will manage three two-story Class A office buildings totaling 295,253
square feet in Cary.
“Melanie is an accomplished professional who consistently delivers cutting-edge service, and we’re thrilled to have her on board as we expand our portfolio in Raleigh-Durham,” said Donnie Robinson, Regional Manager of the Carolinas Property Management division.
Rivera has over 18 years of experience in commercial real estate and was previously the Director of Property Services for NC State University’s Centennial Campus, leading a cross-functional team to improve operations, accounting structure and financial performance indicators for the 1,300-acre research park and educational campus.
“JLL is building an incredible team in this market, and I’m excited and honored to be a part of that,” said Rivera. “I look forward to working with our current and future clients in the Triangle to help them realize greater value from their real estate.”
