JLL appoints Scott Davis to lead Government Integrated Facilities Management business
Davis will help build a more robust facilities management business catering to the needs of federal, state, and local government facilities
CHICAGO, October 01, 2019 – JLL announced today the appointment of Scott Davis to lead its Government Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) business, which helps public institutions reduce costs, improve compliance, and enhance operational efficiency. Based in Alabama, Davis will manage and grow JLL’s Government IFM accounts, with responsibility for strategy, profitability, customer satisfaction, safety, compliance, and market expansion.
“Our Public Institutions’ IFM business has expanded rapidly over the past five years as government entities at the federal, state, and local levels have realized the operational, compliance, and cost saving benefits of leveraging trusted partners to manage their facilities,” said Kevin Wayer, Division President, Public Institutions and Higher Education, JLL. “Scott will play a critical role in transforming our business to build a more robust IFM platform that will specifically address the unique needs of the public sector.”
Davis joins JLL after 25 years of experience in engineering, construction, and facilities/installations related services with the U.S. Department of Defense, other federal government agencies, and the commercial sector. His experience includes leading all aspects of contract operations for a leading provider of base operations support, IT/technical, construction, and educational services. He also served as president for multiple subsidiary companies and managed approximately $800 million in revenue annually for four distinct business lines comprising 40 to 50 accounts on average.
“Public institutions are challenged with elevating service levels in their facilities, reducing operating and maintenance costs, and addressing aging infrastructure amidst shrinking budgets,” Davis said. “I look forward to bringing my expertise to JLL’s already strong team to deliver creative solutions to facilities challenges and help unlock new opportunities for public institutions – whether at the federal, state, or local level.”
Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and a master’s degree in acquisition and contract management from the Florida Institute of Technology, summa cum laude. He is actively involved in the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), and the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
