January 31, 2019

January 31, 2019, FORT WAYNE, IN – The development team behind Electric Works has selected brokerage teams from two firms for its national and local / regional commercial leasing.

RTM Ventures has selected the Indianapolis office of global commercial real estate services firm JLL as its national leasing partner, effective immediately. In addition, RTM has selected Fort Wayne-based The Zacher Company as its local / regional leasing partner.

The JLL and Zacher leasing teams will include real estate experts dedicated to identifying and engaging local, regional and national top-tier commercial and office prospects, working closely with Greater Fort Wayne, the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to support the region’s economic development strategy. Creative office, institutional, and innovation space is planned to comprise more than 300,000 square feet of the project’s approximately 700,000 square feet overall for West Campus.

With a global workforce of nearly 90,000 across 80-plus countries, JLL is a leading professional services firm that specializes in real estate and investment management.

“Electric Works is a truly transformational redevelopment project, and we are honored to be an integral part of this exceptional team moving forward,” explained Traci Kapsalis, senior vice president with JLL’s Indianapolis office. “Our team recognizes the unique potential of the Electric Works development to attract top firms from around the country to Fort Wayne and the ability to positively impact the regional economy. We’re eager to put our experience with creative, mixed-use developments like this to work.”

Founded in 1961 by Al Zacher, The Zacher Company has established itself as one of the leading commercial real estate firms in Northeast Indiana. Today, the firm lists, sells and leases more industrial and commercial real estate in northeast Indiana and the surrounding region than any other brokerage firm. Zacher features a team of real estate professionals known for its depth of knowledge, technological capacity and breadth of experience.

“The Zacher Company is excited to be involved in a project with such a transformative impact on our community,” said Steve Zacher, president and managing broker.

Electric Works has announced leases or letters of intent with several organizations in the past few months, including Fort Wayne Metals, Parkview Health, Medical Informatics Engineering, Three Rivers Music Theatre, and Rush Rock Gym, a climbing gym and adventure park.
