Dawn M. Sweeney Joins JLL as Strategic Partner

WASHINGTON, DC – AUGUST 22, 2022 - JLL announces today the appointment of Dawn Sweeney as Strategic Partner to the firm’s nonprofit and association practice group. Sweeney brings with her decades of experience in executive leadership in the nonprofit sector and will utilize her strategic planning, revenue-generating and built environment experience to advise and support JLL clients.

“My partnership with JLL is a unique and natural fit for me both personally and professionally,” stated Sweeney. “Since my retirement from the National Restaurant Association in December 2019, I have been engaging in work that expands upon my passions to serve mission and purpose-driven organizations. During my career, I have consistently utilized strategic real estate decision making to optimize the financial health, cultural strength and overall wellness of the organizations I have led, and I look forward to carrying on that work with the strong team at JLL.”

In the wake of COVID and the impact it has had on organizations throughout the nation, many nonprofits and associations are reassessing their real estate strategies. Sweeney’s depth of expertise on the inside of association-driven decision making will also be a valuable asset to JLL’s nonprofit and association clients.

In addition to her role as a Strategic Partner with JLL, Sweeney is an Executive-In-Residence at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and is a board member of SITE Centers (NYSE: SITC). She is also Vice Chair of the Board of Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) and on the board of MedStar’s National Rehabilitation Hospital, where she serves as Vice Chair of the Quality and Safety Committee and the Arc of the US Foundation, devoted to the full inclusion for all with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
