AUSTIN, October 2, 2018 – Austin-based CSW Development broke ground today on their new 42-acre, 250,000-square-foot retail center Wolf Crossing in Georgetown, Texas. The new retail development, located just north of Austin at Interstate 35 and Texas Highway 29, will include several restaurants, medical facilities, neighborhood services, a hotel and a grocery store across 14 buildings upon its completion.

“Wolf Crossing would not be possible if not for the extensive, collaborative efforts of JLL, the City of Georgetown and the team at CSW,” said Todd Wallace, CSW Development CEO. “Today, thanks to their hard work and support, we’re making our vision a reality.”

Wolf Crossing will serve as the “gateway” to Georgetown's historic downtown and feature a trail head, connecting the city-wide trail system along the San Gabriel River.

“Our team has worked diligently over the past eighteen months to create a unique customer experience for the residents of Georgetown and guests from around the region to enjoy,” said Kevin Hunter, CSW Development COO & CFO. “A focused comprehensive effort by numerous stakeholders was required to make this possible; we’re thrilled to have construction underway.”

The City of Georgetown is widely recognized as one of the nation's fastest growing cities. Since 2000, the city has experienced a 46% population increase and is projected to increase another 46% by 2021.

“Georgetown possesses an incredible quality of life, and our explosive growth shows that others are taking notice,” Georgetown Mayor Dale Ross said. “Wolf Crossing will provide needed amenities for Georgetown’s residents and workforce, as well as support our continued growth. We look forward to having the new development in our community and are excited to officially break ground today on the project.”

Georgetown city staff worked closely with developers to bring the development to fruition.

“The City of Georgetown strives to be a valuable development partner.” City Manager David Morgan said. “We put together a team for the Wolf Crossing project that spanned several city departments to work efficiently with CSW in order to achieve their vision and find creative solutions to the hurdles we faced.”

Wolf Crossing supports the 2016 Georgetown Merchandising Strategy by providing space for retailers that fills the identified gaps, predominately across multiple restaurant categories. It will serve not only the residents of Georgetown, but its primary trade area of more than 130,000 people.

JLL Senior Vice President Jon Switzer and Senior Vice President Barry Haydon are spearheading marketing and leasing efforts for Wolf Crossing. The roster of anticipated retailers includes Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites, Verizon, P. Terry's, Jason's Deli, Tiff's Treats, First Watch café and Salons by JC.

"Wolf Crossing is going to be a great addition to Georgetown’s growing community," said Switzer. “We're thrilled to partner with the city and introduce the newest generation of retailers to Central Texas. With its great accessibility and incredible views, Wolf Crossing will deliver a unique, top-of-the-line customer experience, ideally suited for perspective retailers interested in establishing themselves in this growing market."

Shop space is expected to be delivered in Q3 2019 with store openings set for the fall of 2019.
