January 23, 2020

LONDON, January 23, 2020 – JLL (NYSE: JLL) CDP scored JLL a ‘B’ for the 2019 Climate Change disclosure cycle in its annual list, which recognizes how organisations are addressing climate risks and building a future zero-carbon economy.

“Being awarded a ‘B’ recognizes the positive progress that we have made in the last 12 months in taking measures to address the climate emergency,” said Richard Batten, Global Chief Sustainability Officer at JLL.

“We’ve already achieved much to be proud of, but our vision is to do more to embed sustainability across the whole business, shaping the future of real estate for a better world. At the heart of this is our commitment to tackling climate change by developing and implementing our Science Based Target and addressing the recommendations from the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) in our reporting.”

CDP scores companies from A to D-. Just 2% of the 8,000 companies scored by CDP made the A-list.

It also has an F-list for companies that did not submit a response for climate change in 2019. Over 8,400 companies disclosed through CDP, a significant 20% increase on 2018. Reporting companies now represent over 50% of global market capitalization. The full set of publicly available climate change scores can be explored here.
