The Atlanta Braves had a vision. Faced with an expiring lease, the team wanted to build a new,41,000-seat, world-class ballpark surrounded by a true live-work-play village –but they needed to move fast.
Working on the Braves’ expedited timeline, we quickly identified 82 acres of unused land in the heart of their fan base and anonymously negotiated its purchase at below market value.
In only 28 months, we helped define, design and construct a first-of-its-kind development –the SunTrust Park & The Battery Atlanta, featuring residential and retail space as well as offices, a hotel, and concert venue.
The new ballpark and village opened in time for the 2017 baseball season.
