How big of a nest egg are Silicon Valley’s largest tech employers holding?

These 10 companies total about $600 billion dollars in cash & cash equivalents. As a comparison, the Federal reserve account closed with a balance of $387.62 billion dollars on Feb 26th.

  • The tech employers in the graph have another thing in common: they all own a significant portion of their total real estate footprints.
  • Combining all of their net incomes equates to about $196 billion dollars. In comparison, total commercial office sales volume in the entire United States was about $140 billion dollars in 2019, according to RCA. Alphabet alone contributed to almost $3 billion to that figure.
