- The Los Angeles MSA has the 4th largest technology talent pool in the country with 110,870 computer and software jobs, outranking other key west coast technology markets like San Francisco and Seattle. The market has also seen substantial growth to the tune of 14 percent over the last 5 years.
- The deep talent pool in Los Angeles has played an important role in attracting FAANG tenants who have a strong focus on content creation and have aligned themselves with Los Angeles’ entertainment core. These tech giants from the north have set up local operations in recent years and have signed some of the markets largest office leases.
- As FAANG tenants continue to build scale and grow their headcount, the local, skilled workforce will surely benefit from job creation as these technology giants compete for top talent in a historically tight labor market.
