Chicago CTA Transit Renovations as urban migration continues
  • Red Ahead Program: Initiative for maintaining and modernizing of the most travelled line in Chicago. From Linden to 130th, there are 240,00 CTA riders on an average weekday. Improvements would include 4 additional stations, attracting thousands in additional weekday station entries and add 5 miles to the train line.
  • Green Line projects: The recently completed the $43 million Garfield Gateway project that will improve access for riders, cyclists and pedestrians and is assisting in the reinvestment into the Washington Park community. In the 1.5 stretch between the Ashland and California stations, the Damen Green Line project is under construction costing roughly $60 million dollars to the City. It will be a much welcomed addition for the 66% of Chicagoans living within a 15-minute walk of the Damen stop that are dependent on the L system
  • Your New Blue: On CTA’s Blue line trains, 80,000 daily riders will reap the benefits of the $492 million project. The Blue line runs from O’Hare and through popular neighborhoods for Chicago’s young workforce. The main goal of this project will include modernized stations, faster travel times and aesthetically appealing improvements such as public artwork.
