CityWorks given approval to light up the Chicago suburbs
February 11, 2019
- Almost a year after initial ideas were proposed, Somerset has been given the green light by Hoffman Estates to overhaul the mammoth, vacant, former AT&T campus to build “CityWorks.”
- The board unanimously approved the project, which sits just a few miles down the road from the Motorola campus redevelopment. Village board officials approved a TIF district for the commercial portion of the development.
- There is hopes for construction to begin this year, though the developers still need to close on the property before any further steps can be taken.
