- Since WeWork entered the Boston market in 2014, they have steadily grown in the ranks of both the largest occupiers and in coworking market share. By the end of 2018 they accounted for 52 percent of all coworking space in the city – they have since increased that to 58 percent as of June 2019.
- WeWork is now the second largest occupier in the city of Boston – trailing only State Street, by 57,000 square feet.
- Since 2018 began, over 260,000 square feet of leases have been executed in Boston by other coworking operators – established & new entrants alike – including Regus/SPACES, Industrious, The Wing, and Convene.
- As the coworking segment has grown, owner-operators Boston Properties and Tishman Speyer have both opened coworking offerings in their portfolios, totaling over 80,000 SF.
