- As tech moves on from the cloud and mobile towards next wave of innovation, Boston is well-positioned. In the past year (ending April 26th), Boston received the 2nd- most venture funding in the following sectors: AI, Autonomous Vehicles, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, IoT, Life Sciences, and Robotics.
- Metro Boston has nine cities ranking in the top-50 nationwide in the past year. Cambridge ranked 3rd while Boston ranked 4th nationwide, trailing only San Francisco and New York City in funding volume.
- Metrowide, funding for these startups increases by 17.3 percent over the prior 12 months, increasing from $6.2B to $7.2B
