- Last year, 3PL companies signed 26 leases in Atlanta that totaled 6.3 million square feet, surpassing 2016’s and 2017’s combined 3PL leasing activity.
- This years volume could reach similar heights if 3PL activity continues on its trajectory. As of June, 3.2 million square feet of 3PL deals have been signed. Many companies are signing several deals within the same quarter, rapidly expanding their presence in the Atlanta market.
- More companies are relying on outsourcing with 3PLs for efficiency and cost control. With the rise of e-commerce and consumers expecting faster delivery, it is likely companies will continue to outsource to 3PLs as a more flexible fulfillment strategy.
