JLL New York continues giving tradition

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, and our JLL office was happy to give back this holiday season. The employees at our 330 Madison Avenue office collected holiday gifts for the mothers and children currently living in the St. Joseph’s Home in Jersey City, NJ.

St. Joseph’s Home, part of the York Street Project, is a transitional home for homeless women and their children- providing them with a safe place to live for up to 18 months along with counseling and educational opportunities. The Home’s ultimate goal is independent family living. This year, JLLers provided holiday gifts and other household needs for 46 mothers, 2 fathers and 83 children living at St. Joseph’s Home.

The York Street Project has served over 800 families to date and an average of 30 families annually, giving them the opportunity to take real steps towards attaining permanent housing while building independent lives for themselves. Every year, St. Joseph’s Home programs offer nearly 300 women at an average age of 26 and their children the tools they need to begin a life of self-sufficiency. Their Transitional Life Skills Enrichment program empowers these families by offering programs that help build their health, parenting and household management skills as well as their career development.

We were happy to continue this tradition of giving again this year, and hope that all of our readers, clients and employees have a most healthy and happy holiday season!
