Seattle-Bellevue office insight - Q2 2018

Q2 saw a flurry of new leases and expansions across the market with the Seattle CBD accounting for roughly 45 percent of all leasing activity. The largest expansion was from WeWork; the company signed a 115,000 square feet lease at 1201 Third, bringing their total footprint in the region to over 1.0 million square feet. Net absorption was slightly negative, mostly due to Boeing vacating 137,655 square feet in the Renton/Tukwila submarket.
