Columbus industrial insight - Q2 2018

Four construction projects broke ground in the second quarter, including two major build-to-suit warehouses. Amazon announced an 855,000-square-foot warehouse in West Jefferson. Additionally, Goodyear is making significant progress on its 1.2 million-square-foot warehouse just south of Rickenbacker. Speculative construction in the Southeast submarket is ongoing with 2.9 million square feet expected to deliver by year-end or in the first quarter of 2019. Just over 92.0 percent of the square footage is considered premium, modern bulk space.
