Aggressive population growth should recede next year, so residential construction is likely to plateau back to more “normal” levels. Commercial construction’s largest projects are wrapping up; for now, the number of large new developments is limited. Still, costs to build don’t seem poised to retreat. In fact, expect them to rise further. Materials are more and more expensive at the same time we simply lack a sufficient supply of labor. Notwithstanding, Denver remains a comparably cheaper metro in which to build.
