Current responsibilities:
Virgil assists our corporate clients by creating customized solutions for their real estate needs. As an integral part of our pursuit teams, he specializes in developing integrated facility management solutions including account governance, organization design, staffing models, cost savings opportunities, operating efficiencies, technology tools and transition plans. Clients with whom he has worked have been largely in the manufacturing and bio-pharma sectors.
Previous experience:
For 27 years he has been a leader in the industry, 21 of which representing Jones Lang LaSalle. Prior to his current position, he gained extensive field experience as Account Manager and CRM for several of the firm’s prominent manufacturing clients. He was responsible for helping these clients develop their solutions, participated in the new business pursuits, administered the transitions, and ran operations for each account. In his role, he delivered clients reduced costs, deployed consistent business processes enhancing and measuring the quality of service delivery for facility management, project management and occupancy planning services. In this role, he typically saved these clients 12 to 15 percent in year one of operations.
Earlier assignments included Regional Asset Manager for Ameritech’s five state, 50.8 million square foot portfolio of owned and leased real estate, and several assignments in leasing and management in Chicago. Previous to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Virgil worked as a Project Director with IBM, where he developed occupancy strategies and solutions for IBM occupied facilities in several Midwest territories. He also has experience as a Junior Architect at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in Chicago.
Education and affiliations:
Virgil holds a masters degree and a BS in architectural studies from the University of Illinois at Champaign. He is a licensed Architect and a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of Illinois.
