Career summary
Sher is a managing director in the New York office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joins JLL with more than 13 years of experience in real estate investment banking and private equity industries representing in excess of $60 billion in transactions. Sher started at HFF in March 2017 upon HFF’s acquisition of Hentschel & Company.
Before that, Sher worked as a vice president in J.P. Morgan’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group, where he executed some of the largest M&A, joint venture, private placements, and equity and debt capital markets transactions for public and private real estate, homebuilding, and gaming clients of the firm. Prior to that, he was in Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Group, where he was part of the team that executed several high-profile private equity and investment banking transactions, including leverage buyouts, mezzanine financings, portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, and recapitalizations.
Sher has extensive experience in real estate underwriting and structuring, corporate finance, and capital markets with strong expertise across all commercial real estate subsectors, homebuilding, and gaming companies.
