Career summary
Riaz is an Executive Managing Director in the Boston office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has more than 35 years of experience in commercial real estate capital markets. He specializes in equity and debt advisory including raising discretionary real estate private equity funds and arranging programmatic joint ventures through his affiliation with JLL Securities. During his career, Riaz has completed in-excess of $30 billion in commercial real estate transactions.
As Head of International Capital for the Americas, Riaz oversees JLL’s International Capital Coverage team focused on accessing cross-border capital for JLL’s capital markets offerings in the U.S. Additionally, as a member of JLL Capital Markets, Americas’ Executive Committee, Riaz is responsible for the overall direction of the firm’s U. S. capital markets business.
Riaz began his career with HFF in 1989 when it was known as Fowler, Goedecke, Ellis & O’Connor, Inc. Prior to that, he was a vice president with Wells Fargo Bank. Riaz serves on several boards, including the Global Governing Board of Trustees of the Urban Land Institute.
