Current responsibilities
Mike is an Executive Vice President for JLL Retail Division. He is responsible for business development including seeking assignments with new and existing clients for the sale, leasing, and management of retail properties across the county. His primary focus is working directly with clients to gain an understanding of investment objectives, developing growth strategies and meeting service needs. Additionally, his role is to ensure that we continue to provide exemplary service to our clients.

Mike has been in the real estate industry for 28 years with experience in investment sales, leasing, property management, sales, tenant representation, business development and public relations. Before joining JLL, Mike served as Director of Leasing for Inland Retail Real Estate Trust Inc., where he was responsible for directing all leasing activities on the East coast for the REIT. His portfolio consisted of 130 centers totaling 18 million s.f. Throughout his tenure, Mike negotiated sales and leasing deals ranging from national retail anchors to local and regional tenants in lifestyle centers, power centers, grocery-anchored centers, regional malls and specialty retail in the largest metropolitan markets as well as tertiary rural markets.

Additionally, Mike’s experience also includes working at Urban Retail Properties and Lat Purser & Associates as a Leasing Director and Property Manager for various retail properties throughout the Southeast.

Education and affiliations
Mike is a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in business and public administration with a concentration in real estate finance and marketing. He earned Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) and Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designations from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
