Martha is a Managing Director in the Boston office of JLL Capital Markets, America. She joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition with more than 13 years of experience in commercial real estate investment and equity placement. She has participated in the capitalization of a broad range of property types, including office, life science, industrial, multi-housing, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use projects, most recently focusing on the capitalization of multi-housing projects. Martha’s experience spans underwriting, structuring and marketing transactions that have included investment advisory, construction financing, conventional permanent financing, agency financing, bridge financing, mezzanine debt, preferred equity and joint venture equity. She primarily focuses on multi-housing investment sales transactions and previously focused on debt placement. Throughout the course of her career Martha has been involved in the underwriting and marketing of $6 billion in commercial real estate transactions.
Martha started at HFF in 2013. Before that, she was a portfolio manager/assistant vice president transacting on multi-housing real estate loan and equity investments at Citizens Bank. Prior to that, she was Teach For America corps member, teaching high school Spanish in inner city Baltimore, Maryland
