Marta Person Villa leads the retail brokerage team in New Jersey. Villa enjoys leasing all types properties and enhancing their value thru properly merchandising the tenant mix. As a tenant rep, Villa has a track record selecting sites for restaurants, medical, daycare, gas/convenience, coffee, auto, wireless and financial tenants. With a career in downtown revitalization and municipal administration prior to brokerage, Villa has a diverse knowledge of the land use and development process in New Jersey that benefits her clients.
Villa received her BS from the University of Richmond. She was a two term President of Downtown New Jersey and Director of International Downtown Association as well as a 25+ year member of International Council of Shopping Centers. Villa is credited with earning Red Bank the name “Hiptown” from NJ Monthly Magazine during her tenure. She succeeded in launching the Newark Downtown District and setting up the Clean and Safe program and the Farmer’s Market at Military Park in 1999 that remains a Newark staple. As a real estate professional, she has leased over 50 stores in downtown Newark.
Marta resides in Peapack with her family. She enjoys coaching field hockey and figure skating and playing tennis. She is an active member of US Field Hockey and US Figure Skating.
