Vice President, Retail Advisory
Katie Fernandez-Espinosa is responsible for business development, agency leasing, and tenant representation throughout South Florida. She specializes in repositioning and lease-up for suburban, mixed-use, and lifestyle properties by curating tenant mixes that keep pace with consumers evolving expectations. She also focuses on advisory and tenant representation for South Florida’s signature retail and restaurant concepts.
Prior to joining JLL, Katie served as a Vice President at CREC, a boutique fullservice real estate firm, where she worked in both the office and retail leasing departments. She focused on servicing the firm’s marquee and institutional clients, including DWS, Zurich, and Colony. Notable projects included 800 Brickell, The Alhambra, 2121 Ponce, 555 Washington, Greenery Mall, Pinecrest Town Center, and Kendall Market Place.
Prior to joining CREC, Mrs. Fernandez-Espinosa worked in property management and leasing for Hines, a global REIT and real estate developer. At Hines, she handled the firm’s Class A office portfolio in the Coral Gables and Doral submarkets, including the repositioning of 2555 Ponce. Prior to her time at Hines, Ms. Fernandez-Espinosa was a Senior Associate at Raymond James & Associates where she worked on financial plans and portfolios of high-networth clients.
Education and Affiliations
Ms. Fernandez-Espinosa attended Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, North Carolina) and Florida International University (Miami, Florida). She holds a BA in International Relations with a Certificate in Latin American Studies. She is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and CREW.
She is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson
