Current responsibilities
Karen Raquet is the Director of Retail Property Management and International Director for JLL Retail. She has overall responsibility for business development and relationship management for existing and prospective clients seeking retail services.  

Her primary focus is to oversee the property management and leasing teams in the implementation of management and operational strategies to maximize property value and achieve ownership objectives.

She also provides overall direction for our consumer marketing, operations, and specialty leasing initiatives for our properties. 

Additionally, Karen's role is to ensure that we continue to provide exemplary service to our clients.

Karen has been in the shopping center industry for more than 25 years, with experience in management, operations, marketing, specialty leasing, and leasing.

During her tenure at JLL, she also served as a Executive Vice President of Business Development responsible for identifying and obtaining new clients for our retail portfolio. 

Bilingual, Karen was actively involved in retail business endeavors in Spanish-speaking countries, including Argentina, Puerto Rico and Spain.

Prior to that role, she was a regional manager, overseeing the day-to-day, on-site management and operations for several shopping centers located throughout the Northeast. 

Her responsibilities included the ongoing development and training of field management to ensure that JLL best practices were being effectively implemented to surpass client financial and investment goals.  

Prior to JLL, Karen served as Vice President of Operations at Gordon Group Holdings, where she provided direction on all operational aspects of creating a $150 million retail project (The Pier at Caesars) and negotiated various operational and union contracts which resulted in overall savings of more than $1.5 million to the landlord. 

Additionally, she was a General Manager with The Rouse Company, responsible for Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey. Special projects included supervision and leasing of a $5 million food court and the planning, development and coordination of a $16 million total center renovation.

Karen received her Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) and Certified Shopping Center Manager (SCSM) designations from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

She is also fluent in Spanish and English.
