Current responsibilities:

Kai Pan, MAI serves as Executive Managing Director and National Multi-Housing Valuation Lead for JLL Value and Risk Advisory in the United States. Mr. Pan specializes in the valuation of multi-housing assets, including conventional and small balance multifamily, affordable housing, workforce housing, active adult, student housing & condominium developments, and is responsible for platform-wide adoption of best practices and quality assurance. The JLL Multi-Housing Sector provides excellence in client service throughout engagement and ensures timely delivery of high-quality valuation reports that elevate client confidence in execution. Mr. Pan’s commercial real estate valuation experience spans over 15 years and is a consistent top producer and has received the JLL Top Gun awards in 2017, 2018, and 2022.

Experience:

Prior to joining JLL in late 2016, Mr. Pan served as Director at Integra Realty Resources (IRR) in Houston and was a member of the Integra Realty Resources Seniors Housing, Healthcare and Hospitality specialty practices. Mr. Pan’s experience spans a variety of property types and multiple specialties on a national basis with the following emphasis:

  • Performed and managed thousands of multi-housing valuation assignments for agency lenders and institutional owners
  • Performed and managed portfolio valuations of investment-grade assets for institutional and international clients
  • Consulting expert for complex litigation matters involving property tax, construction defect, and eminent domain

Education:

  • The University of Texas at Austin, Bachelor of Business Administration: Finance

  • Appraisal Institute: Designated Member (MAI)
  • Member of Counselors of Real Estate (CRE)
  • Successfully completed the Requirements of UASFLA – The “Yellow Book” course
