Current responsibilities
Jay is a Contractor Broker in the Integrated Portfolio Services group, specializing in portfolio management and corporate real estate strategy to ultimately provide his clients significant occupancy cost savings. He is the Lead Transaction Manager for Matthews International 260+ location global portfolio and provides transactional support for various other corporate clients including Sitel, Qualfon and Zurich/Farmers Insurance. Additionally, he advises local clients on their real estate requirements, including relocations, expansions, dispositions and acquisitions.
Additionally, Jay is a member of JLL's Contact Center Solutions practice group, which provides technology and consultation for third-party and corporate contact center requirements including location strategy, site selection, transaction management and construction. The Contact Center Solutions team combines real estate expertise with labor intelligence to develop solutions that align operational and workforce requirements with locations that best support business and talent acquisition strategies.
Previous experience
Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Heald was an Associate at DTZ where he focused on business development and tenant representation for corporate clients and local firms. Mr. Heald has focused his career to increasing efficiency within company's real estate portfolios by evaluating lease metrics, KPI's and implementing corporate real estate standards.
Current corporate clients
Matthews International - In 2015, Matthews partnered with JLL's Integrated Portfolio Services team to organize a first-time consolidation of real estate activities at the corporate level. Services provided include Global Portfolio Management, Transaction Management, Lease Administration, Business Intelligence and Project Management. Jay is currently the lead transaction manager overseeing this 260+ property portfolio totaling over 8,000,000 sq. ft. across 27 countries.
Wiss, Janney Elstner - Since 2014, Jay has worked with WJE's real estate team, completing projects in Boca Raton, FL, Northbrook, IL, Detroit, MI and Houston, TX.
Zurich Insurance / Farmers Insurance – Jay has successfully completed many projects for Zurich Insurance and Farmers Insurance since 2015, including providing US portfolio planning, strategy and portfolio wide project implementation.
Contact Center / BPO Clients
Alorica - Since 2014, Jay has worked with Alorica's real estate team, completing contact center projects in Tulsa, OK, Pittsburgh, PA, South Florida (multiple), Terre Haute, IN and the Philippines (multiple).
Sitel - Since 2015, Jay and the JLL Contact Center Solutions team have provided Sitel with location strategy support in the US which has led to multiple transactions, including in Corpus Christi, TX, Miami, FL and Pompano Beach, FL.
Education and affiliations
Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from University of Wisconsin and resides in Chicago, Illinois.
He is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and an active member in various industry associations such as Young Office Brokers Association (YOBA) and the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA).
