Current responsibilities
James is an Associate Director on JLL’s Affordable Multi-Housing Sector Value and Risk Advisory team where he works on the valuation and analysis of affordability covenant encumbered multi-family housing across the country. His responsibilities include researching and writing appraisal reports, conducting inspections, and supporting business development in California.
Experience
Mr. Kim earned his Residential Appraisal License in 2011 after having worked for 2 years at his father’s appraisal company. In 2011, he began working for Realty Valuation Services where he gained experience in appraising a wide variety of different commercial real estate that was necessary to earn his Certified General License in 2021. Prior to joining JLL in 2022, he worked as an independent appraiser completing residential and commercial real estate appraisals for lending, estate, and affordable housing tax credit application purposes.
