Managing Director, Central Region
David Roberts is a Managing Director for JLL Americas. He is responsible for the U.S. Central Region, with specific focus on project and development services and account management.
David currently leads a team of over 200+ staff across the Midwest performing a wide variety of real estate assignments including: development management, office fit-outs, build-to-suits, retail, capital improvements, property management, healthcare, strategic sourcing, critical facilities, and occupancy planning. Major clients include United Airlines, Motorola, Honeywell, Lilly, UnitedHealth Group, US Postal Service, Hewitt, McDonald’s, HSBC, Bank of America, BP, and Whirlpool.
He is also a member of JLL’s Chicago Executive Leadership Team, overseeing the firm’s Chicago business.
Years of experience
David has over 25 years diverse real estate experience. In 2007, 2010 and 2011, 2014 and 2015, his team was awarded ‘Project Manager of the Year’ in Chicago. In 2007 he was named as a finalist in CoreNet’s Global Innovation Awards.
Prior to joining JLL, David was a Director with Bovis Lend Lease where he managed the operations in 2001 for the BP Alliance, encompassing a $100m national brand rollout throughout the U.S.
David also spent nine years with the Sydney Olympic Organizing Committee, where he led the development for a $320m project portfolio encompassing 12 Olympic venues and overall management of Games operations. He was also a member of Sydney’s successful Olympic Bid team, a unique global marketing initiative.
David has an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of New South Wales.
David is a board member of Corenet’s Chicago Chapter, a board member of ANZACC and an active member of Advance US and ULI.
