Current responsibilities
In mid-2017Christopher Ostop was promoted to Managing Director at JLL. Prior to his current position, he served as Senior Vice President since 2007 and JLL's New England Leasing Director since he joined the firm in November of 1999. 

Christopher's primary responsibilities include local and regional tenant representation, consulting, agency leasing, and investment sales for office and industrial properties. 

He is the primary contact for Open Solutions, Inc., where he advises on occupancy requirements including lease acquisitions, dispositions, site selection consulting, lease terminations and portfolio planning. 

In 2009, he successfully negotiated a 420,000 s.f. office lease for United Healthcare at CityPlace I in Hartford. 

Other recent accomplishments include the successful negotiations of a 310,000 s.f. lease for St. Paul Travelers in Hartford and a 265,000 s.f. lease for Prudential Financial in Hartford.

Other recent clients include: Veeder Root, Advanced Behavior Health, Hooker & Holcombe, Mayo Crowe, LLP, First American Title and McCormick, Paulding & Huber.

Christopher has recently been selected to exclusively represent Wilkinson Corporation, Vision Equities and Direct Invest.  Mr. Ostop and his team also represent CityPlace I, an 885,000 s.f., Class A office tower located in downtown Hartford and State House Square, an 850,000 s.f., Class A office building owned by FBE Ltd. 

Experience
Christopher has served JLL since 1999. Prior to joining the JLL team, he worked for Cushman & Wakefield in their Hartford Office where he concentrated on suburban leasing. 

Since joining JLL his leasing team has negotiated over 1,000,000 square feet of leases valued at over $100 million. Other clients include: Associated Spring, AviaHealth, Cantor Colburn, Dow Chemical, EDS, First American Title, General Electric/Industrial Risk Insurers, ING, Linc Systems, Mashantucket Pequots, Maytag, McDonalds, Prudential, and Unigraphics.

Education
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Boston College.

He serves on the Commercial Council of the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors, and is active in the Real Estate Finance Association, Connecticut Economic Resource Committee and MetroHartford Alliance.
