Chris Schaaf serves as the Executive Managing Director of the Tenant Representation team in the Carolinas. He works closely with a team of consultants to create efficient strategies for clients and corporate occupants on complex real estate evaluations throughout the United States. Chris specializes in assisting these corporate users with lease restructures, expansions, contractions, relocations, site searches and dispositions on national levels. His daily focus on tenant representation allows him to provide objective evaluations of various buildings and sites without having an interest in promoting one over another.
Chris was Vice President of the Tenant Representation Group at Keystone Partners for five years prior to the JLL acquisition in 2011. His real estate career started at Trammell Crow Company as an associate broker, where he worked with their industrial brokerage team on exclusively representing companies with site searches and lease negotiations.
Chris is a graduate of the Hampden Sydney College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in general economics and was a captain and All-American on the varsity lacrosse team. Chris has served as both a mentor and protégé for the JLL National Mentor/Protégé Program in addition to being selected to participate in JLL’s Leadership Council Advisory Board (LCAB). Chris is a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina and a member of Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR). Chris is married to wife, Amy, and has three children, Landon, Brody and Vivienne. He is a member of The Corners Society and Myers Park United Methodist Church and is a board member at the Urban Ministry Center and Classroom Central.
