Current Responsibilities:
Carey Jaffee is an Senior Associate broker with the JLL’s Florida Retail Advisory Services group. Carey’s main concentration is leasing entertainment-focused development projects as well as tenant representation for non-traditional and medical tenants. She specializes in creating strategic multi-market roll out plans for tenants looking to enter or grow within specific Florida markets. Carey’s background in research and analysis makes her an expert in compiling in-depth analyses of retail markets, including both demographic and psycographic factors. Carey is also responsible for producing the Florida Shopping Center Insider, a bi-annual update which tracks who the top buyers and sellers are of retail properties in Florida as well as consumer habits and changes in the market.
Experience:
Carey recently transitioned into this role at JLL having worked with the team previously as the Retail Development Analyst after completing her Masters of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) at the University of Florida. In this role she provided in-depth analysis of retail development projects all over the United States from initial pro-forma and market analysis through final Argus underwriting. Her comprehensive analysis is an asset in the decision-making process that provides the team with a unique perspective in determining successful development and redevelopment plans.
Education and Affiliations:
Carey is currently a member of ICSC where she benefits from creating relationships with local real estate professionals. While holding a real estate license in the State of FL, she is also pursuing her Certified Commercial Investment Member (“CCIM”) designation, which she began while at University of Florida as a part of the Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) curriculum.
